Your personal data will be held and processed in the Isle of Man. All information will be held in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and we are registered as a ‘Controller’ with the Isle of Man Information Commissioner under notification number N003904. A ‘Controller’ is a person or company who determines how and why your personal information is used.

Information we collect about you

Personally identifiable information

You provide this information to us in the process of setting up an account, placing bets and using the services of the website. This information is required to give you access to certain parts of our website and related services. This data is collected when you:

  • Register an account with Rivalry
  • Voluntarily provide it when using the website
  • Personally disclose the information in public areas of the website
  • Provide it when you contact our customer support team

In order to ensure that you can access all of the benefits of having an account on the Website, we may collect and process the following additional personal data about you:

  • the currency in which you hold your account currency, encrypted password, payment details, bank account details and card details
  • Whenever you interact with our customer support team and share Personal Information, please be aware that this includes conversations conducted through our AI-powered chat system, utilizing large language models (LLM)
  • information that you submit in response to a survey(s) or poll
  • details of transactions you carry out through the Website and your account number with us;
  • details of your visits to the website including, but not limited to Bets and transaction records, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data, whether this is required for our own billing purposes or otherwise and the resources that you access.

Rivalry strives to make our website as user friendly as possible and easy to find on the internet. Rivalry collects data on how you use the site, which does not identify you personally. The non-identifiable data is analysed in order to make the website as user-friendly and as optimised as possible.

Cookies are small text files which are stored on a user's computer. They are designed to hold a modest amount of data specific to a particular client and website.

This allows Rivalry to deliver a more personalised experience with pages tailored to a particular user. This leads to less keystrokes and a much quicker and more personal experience for you.

Legal and Regulatory Requirements

We are regulated by the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission and to comply with their requirements, we carry out identity verification, fraud prevention and anti-money laundering checks when you create an account with us and throughout the life of the account.

We will use your scanned identification document and/or proof of address to check your details in order for us to protect our users from fraudulent behaviour and to promote responsible gambling.

We are required to carry out these activities to provide our products and services legally, responsibly, and in line with the requirements stipulated by regulators. We cannot provide you with our services without carrying out these activities, if you don’t want your information used in this way, your option is to not use our services and close your account.

To monitor our website performance

As detailed above, we use cookies and traffic analysis in order to improve the performance of our website and services available. We have a legitimate interest in carrying out these activities and we ensure that we minimise any impact on your privacy.

Your rights to rectification

If you believe the personal information we hold on you is incorrect, you have the right for this to be rectified. For any information that cannot be updated through My Account, please contact support@rivalry.com.

Your right to update, access, or delete your Personal Information

If you wish to update Personal Information you believe is incorrect, you may contact support@rivalry.com . Please note that you may be able to update some of your information via the ‘My Account’ page on our website.

You may also request a copy of your Personal Information record or request deletion of Personal Information by the following process;

  1. Contact us at support@rivalry.com or through this link;
  2. We will also require valid proof of your identity to provide with your request; and
  3. After we have had a reasonable time to process the request, and your verification of identity, we will respond within a reasonable time (usually thirty (30) days).

Further, we reserve our right to reject an unreasonable request for Personal Information in circumstances where the form of the request would be unreasonably arduous or otherwise unreasonable, or where we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

It is Your responsibility to maintain your Personal Information and ensure that it is up-to-date and accurate.

Your right to complain to the regulator

If you believe your privacy rights have been infringed, or you disagree with a decision we have made about your privacy rights, you have the right to complain to the Isle of Man Information Commissioner. Sharing your personal information

We may disclose your Personal Data to third parties:

  • if we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal information in order to comply with any legal or regulatory obligation;
  • in order to enforce or apply the terms of this notice, the Terms & Conditions, or any other agreements;
  • to assist us in providing you with the products and services you request, including but not limited to third party software providers;
  • to protect the rights, property or safety of us, our customers or others;

When we transfer any part of your Personal Data outside the EEA or adequate jurisdictions we will take reasonable steps to ensure that it is treated as securely as it is within the EEA or adequate jurisdictions. These steps include but are not limited to the following:

We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Notice. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of the Website, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.

We store all of the Personal Information we receive directly from you in an encrypted at rest and password protected database residing within our secure network behind active state-of-the-art firewall software. (Our Services support SSL Version TLS 1.2 with 256-bit encryption). We also take measures to ensure our business partners and suppliers employ adequate security measures.

The Website may from time to time contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates as well as third party websites to which we have no affiliation. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies.

Retention

We retain personal information for as long as we reasonably require it for legal or business purposes. In determining data retention periods, Rivalry takes into consideration local laws, contractual obligations, and the expectations and requirements of our customers. When we no longer need your personal information, we securely delete or destroy it.

Disclaimer

We will use reasonable efforts to protect your personally identifiable information. Transmission of information over the internet is never totally secure, therefore we cannot be held liable or responsible if any of this information becomes disclosed to unauthorised third parties due to causes beyond our control.
